At pick-up she said she had a great day and told us what she
could remember about it. (We were warned
that she probably wouldn’t remember very much)
Lunch (or lack of it)
She
requested a ham and cheese toasted sandwich for lunch on her first day. I explained to her that I could do the ham
and cheese but not the toasted. She had
a giggle at herself for being silly. The other hiccup
with lunch was that she didn’t know she could eat everything that I packed for
her. At lunch she ate her sandwich, a
cheese and crackers and that’s it! Poor
thing was starving when she got home. We
made up for it by taking her to Outback Steakhouse to celebrate “surviving” her
first day of school.
On day 2, off she went still very excited. But then at 3:30pm we got a phone call. At after-school care she was vomiting. L We felt so sad for her that on her 2nd
day of school, she was so sick. It meant that what should have been day 3 of
big school, she was home. Luckily it passed in 24 hours and she is able to finish out
her first week of school.
She is very much enjoying school, especially after-school
care making "older" friends. The funniest thing has been her
missing her sleep, every night she asks me, “When do I get to sleep-in again?” My little Sleeping Beauty.
