No Tricks... just treats!

Halloween is my favorite day of the year.  It's hard not being in a country that celebrates it but I do my best each year to help my Australian friends embrace it, just as much as I do.

For our 3rd, but  not annual Halloween party, we decided to move away from the spooky and ghastly for a un-Halloween Party with an Alice in Wonderland theme.  Guests were asked to dress in costumes "from their childhood" (cartoons, TV shows, movies, nursery rhymes, books, etc).

I had a hard time finding decorations so most of it was handmade by me!

The Queen: She likes 'em red wreaths

White roses painted red

Red Mexican paper flowers
Quotes from Alice in Wonderland

The Queens Card Soldiers
"Fat boy" teapots (handpainted) and The Mad Hatter's Menu
"Take Me" orange and black (chocolate) candy bar
'Eat Me' cupcakes
Inspired by Eloise's pirate ship tent, our living room was decorated with a Peter Pan theme.

Sing-a-song-of-six-pence:

My pie felties were so fun to make!
Litte Miss Muffett sat on the toilet...

We were The Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts and Alice.  I made the Queen of Hearts and Alice costumes.  Adult tutu's are so fun!

Our little Alice

I was sad MissE missed out on going to a pumpkin patch, maybe next year...  We found carving pumpkins at Woolworths but for $25 each!  They discounted them to $12 on October 30 so we were able to have some pumpkin carving fun!
What's in there?

Eloise and her 'Daisy' (In the Night Garden) pumpkin and 'Itsy Bitsy' pumpkin
