Four generations

We had visitors this month, Tai Pau (great grandma) and G.A.B (great auntie B) came Down Under to see MissE (it's been 3 years!) and meet Mr.E.

4 generations (and Sabi!)
MissE was so happy to have new "friends" to play with and Mr.E enjoyed some extra attention.  In 5 days, we packed in the highlights of Sydney from dining at Doyles, a Sydney Harbour cruise, a walking tour of Sydney CBD with lunch at Food on 5 (Westfield CBD), in addition to lunch and dinners with friends and relatives.  Thank you Sydney for the driest May in 153 years!

Mr.E is 10 months!

Another month has gone by and it was filled with activities and visitors too!  Here's a few highlights:

KidZone (Pianeta Hair Design)
Once again it was time for MissE to get another haircut.  She loves going to see Melanie so much so we stayed for an extra 40 minutes after her haircut!  It was School Holidays so Melanie's son was on hand to play with MissE (new toys!) and introduce her to fairy floss (or cotton candy).  Melanie said MissE is not the only one who refuses to leave.
Finished with a blow-dry

My first cotton candy (fairy floss)
Girls' Day Out
While Mr.H gets to have daddy/daughter time a few hours every weekend (park then MissE's favourite cafe), MissE and I hadn't had a girls' day out for a few months.  I saw in the local children's magazine that Ensemble Theatre were putting on a production of We're Going on a Bear Hunt which is MissE's favourite book (she can recite the whole book!) so I booked tickets for our 'special day' together.
We're going on a bear hunt, we're going to catch a big one...

My Little Cupcake
MissE really enjoyed the play.  She was upstanding the whole time and singing and dancing along.  After, we stopped into the best cupcakes in Sydney, My Little Cupcake, for a take-home treat and then had a girl's-only lunch.

Kids Playland & Park Days
Mr.E can now join in on the fun!

Swinging good time!

Unseasonably warm day: Rouse Hill Town Centre

Splish Splash I was taking a bath...
The cooler weather (hello Winter!) means at least one bubble bath in mama's big tub a week!
What?  Bubble hats are so in!
Matching bubble beards

Little Fishes
MissE is swimming excellently now; she can swim across the pool by herself!  She is working on moving to Level 2 in the next few weeks.

Mr.E got to swim with daddy this past week.  He can now blow bubbles!

Our swim school recently started doing underwater photography with Puddle Pics.

National Alpaca Week
15-20 May was National Alpaca Week.  The alpaca farms were open to the public every day and FREE! So we went on a nice 45 minute drive to Kurrajong to visit Madison's Retreat, an alpaca farm-stay.  We spent an hour on the paddock with Debbie, the herd manager, to feed the alpacas and help Debbie tag them.  The alpacas were so tame, they approached Eloise and Eden for pats and food.
After we finished helping, we went back to reception and did a few crafts.

Eden meets Eden
Coincidentally, we helped move a male alpaca named Eden.  Eden the alpaca was getting certified in the afternoon for breeding.

Mr.E is 10 months

Mr.E is 10 months.  He now weighs 21 lbs and 8 oz or 9.9kg.

Watch out world!
Mr.E is now crawling on his hands and knees.  He can also pull up and cruise furniture.  He is also confident enough to turn, stand un-assisted for a few seconds until he lowers himself to the floor.
He's coming!
Bam Bam!
I have to admit it, it's funny... if you take too long to get Mr.E from his cot, he stands up and pounds on the wall until you get him!

No, no, no!
Mr.E has now added "no" to his vocabulary.  He even shakes his head when he says it too.

First tricks
Mr.E has a few tricks now:
1.) He tilts his head to the side when you ask him if he is shy
2.) He can blow kisses!

And much to MissE's displeasure, has claimed her monkey snuggly as his own.  Luckily, she was not attached to it as a baby and only used it as a blanket for her dolls.

Cheeky MissE
MissE has had a good month with only a few days of bad behaviour (talking back and pushing/ hitting her brother because he can now steal toys!)... we might be seeing the last of it?!  I hope so!

We wish, Eloise.  We wish...
MissE: Daddy, what are we going to do tomorrow?
Daddy: What do YOU want to do?
MissE: Umm, go to Hawaii?

Mother's Day Card
Here's where I brag about how proud I am of MissE.  She wrote this all by herself!  She asked Daddy how to spell "mum" but knew how to write M-U-M!

I can add!
More bragging... I am so amazed!  MissE is only 3 and 4 months but she can add!  She was moved into the Dolphin room at daycare earlier this month.  The Dolphin room is the school readiness room.  She is adapting well and learning to be more independent.

Me (and Mr.H too)
We celebrated Mr.H's birthday with cupcakes, dinner and cake... a BIG one!
Hamburger cupcakes.  Yes, they are cupcakes!
Make a wish!

Biggest Loser
Mr.H and I have graduated Insanity.  Mr.H has lost 8.5kg (18.7 lbs) and myself 9kg (19.8 lbs).  Mr.H is now doing P90X to add some muscle and after a short break, I am starting TurboFire.  Both programs are part of the Team Beachbody series.  Wish us luck!

Girl's Night Out
My mommy friends and I had a very rare night out a few weeks ago.  We went to a Moroccan restaurant that I suggested.  The food was great and the company was even better!  It was funny, we had to keep reminding ourselves that we did not have to rush and should just eat, drink and relax!

This month ended with visitors who deserve their own post, so stay tuned!
Until next time...
